thoughts: oceans

When a big wave hits, Or a hurricane comes, From were does it form? The ocean! So many types of fish, On the market today,  Where did it came from? The ocean of course! The ships go on steadily, Honking lightly as she goes, But what's her route? The ocean, of course! The oceans are very important, Our life and earth depends on them, Still, We don't take care of them!

Poem: The Start Of My Day

Bismillah.. The Sun rose over the horizon,  Just outside my balcony.  And the birds twittered 'good-mornings! ' To me  I heard a gush of a wind.  That swept my hair to my face And the trees moved in the wind And they waved at me!  I heard the eagles giving a call,  And the crows cawing.  I saw people walking in the Park,  And the children going to school.  And so my day, got a happy start!  Too happy Salam.... Sidra khan.

Nature23:Leopards vs Cheetah vs jaguar

Image
I'm sure this seems quite interesting to you all!  I stand with Jaguar, Who do you stand with,?  Yo note: This fight is just on a play basis, but the results, winners and losers will be on a reality basis.  Leopards, jaguars, and cheetahs have the same spots. Disguising cheetah from the leopard is quite easy. The cheetah is smaller and cuter compared to both. It's a little bit friendly too. The cheetah has tear-like facial marks, which the other two don't have. It has smaller spots. And it lives on the grasslands, not in lush green jungles like leopards and jaguars do.  Now, jaguar and leopard might seem difficult to disguise, but believe me, my friend. It's easy peasy, just let me tell you the difference, and you'll know.  Now? Easy?  It's easy for me.  Let's go to the basic facts  Cheetah Where it lives: African savannah (most commonly found) and other savannahs and grasslands  special ability:  the fastest animal in the world Speed: 80-130 kilometres per

My Pets

Image
Bismillah... What if I tell you about my pets today?  In many posts, I've explained the importance of pets, animals, how we take care of them etc. I have also posted a poem about my parrots.  But now. I'll give you more information about her.  Cockatiels have always been sweet by nature.  And, they are very loyal too. As I had explained in many of my posts too.  You know, my parrots were actually a gift for me. My parents had given them to me as a surprise. Before I had any pets, I had really never thought about them. Whoever, I liked cats.  I had never thought about parrots, till my mother told us that we could have a toy train OR parrots. Of course, I said parrots (for nature lovers like me, the answer will always be the answer that'll take us close to nature) although, my brothers said train!  Now, it's all a little blur because this all happened two years ago.  My parents went to the market, leaving us at home. I actually liked it that way. Then, I was sitting in t

Story: The Spirit Of An Evil Witch

Image
Bismillah... It's just not a story, it's a scary one.  It's my first try writing horror stories. So please give feedback on it.  Mimi and Yumi were sleeping, however, Yara couldn't sleep, and the moonlight shone brightly on her pillow. She turned and tried to sleep. She sat on her bed, she looked out of the window that was next to her bed, it was quite dark. She looked at her little sisters, Yumi and Mimi, they were still asleep. She took a torch and opened it. And then lifted her pillow to reveal a very scary horror novel named The Creepy Corner, it wasn't a good idea to read that novel at night, especially when you can't sleep, but she still read it, moonlight still shining brightly on her pillow.  The clock ticked 3:00 pm, and then, suddenly, the pages of her book turned, all by themselves, quickly and fast. Yara's heart came in her throat, there was no wind fast enough to flip the pages of her book that fast. She closed the book, kept it under her pillo

In The Ocean: Storms

Image
Bismillah... Hi friends,  You remember? Our series?  That's what we'll resume today.  We have reached the red line's middle now, the most dangerous part of our journey. The ship was really looking like it'd crumple in a minute. I hope not. The sunrise was what I missed. I feel bad about that. But Sana told me that the sunrise wasn't visible at all.  There! Came something I hadn't expected at all. A big wave, that crashed with the ship. Although the wave couldn't smash Arabella. It did scare us all.  Evening came, we ate supper and went back into our cabins. I tried to sleep. When suddenly, the captain said on micro speaker loudly: Net is here for half an hour!  I took my tablet and checked Happy Whales. It loaded and I saw that yesterday white beak was at the beginning of the red line then turned and went somewhere today.  What's up with her?  Where is she going?  Is she following us?  I don't think so, because she turned. The most possible explanat

My thoughts : what about them?

A raging war is going in phelestine, sirens are always heard there, the sound of bombs and guns are also available. Tell me, what about the innocent babies? Who even don't know what a war is? Who even don't know what's Israel and who's Hamas? Why are they being hurt? Why are they streaked in blood?   What about the birds and animals? They literally, don't know anything. What they must see is:  A big rock fell from the sky, killing my young.  A fire burst out, and we had to run.  We heard a big sound,  And a piercing pain hit me.  Everybody was running,  Including the humans,  Scream and wails,  Pierced the night sky.  So,  that's right. Allah made them for us But we also have to take care of them.  STOP THE WAR, RIGHT NOW!!!!  It's injustice, it's not fair!  That's not how the baby's lives were supposed to be. They deserved a healthy start, a warless start. Which was peaceful and quite.  Israel is being quite unfair.  The only being we can turn t

Poem: birds

Image
Bismillah,  Blue, green, red and yellow, Orange, black brown and pink  Are the colours that birds wear,  Beauty is their attraction,  And music is their voice.  Beauty is their clothes,  While they flutter beautifully,  Cute,  And lovely.  The crows might seem ferocious,  But they're useful a lot,  They finish off the dead birds,  And cow a lot!  They have a black colour,  And if you look at them closely,  You'll understand what I mean.  Bye!

5 Fun Facts About Snow Leopards

Image
Bismillah,  Today's post's gonna be interesting, quite a bit. So, I think you already know about snow leopards (?) if not. Then that's okay, for I'm posting about them today.  1. Snow leopards are called the ghost of the mountains (remember? That panthers were called ghosts of the jungles) 2. They are very difficult to find in the snow.  I can prove that :)  See, try to spot the snow leopard in the picture, it's in there (I dare you! ) 3. They cannot roar, but can growl or meow. 4. They're shy.  5. So, had fun?  I'll post an another post about snow leopards in the future, in sha Allah.  Some pictures:  Salam!  Sidra Khan.

Poem: Books

Bismillah... Books!  They're so good.  Greater than a cartoon,  Or a chocolate, But only if the book's new!  They tell us about space.  They tell us about planets,  Black holes, and.......  Galaxies! And everything else that's out there.  Story books!  Are great.  They give us a chance to,  Escape the reality,  And live in the world of fantasy,  Only while we read the book.  What does the books tell us about?  An endless number of things.  Space, nature, animals, microbes,  Fungus, history, maths, chemicals,  Volcanoes.  And the books itself!  Salam... Sidra khan .

Poem: Geusts

Bismillah.. So, I'm thinking of giving our adventure a small break, what do you think? It's like I'm not getting any ideas, so when I get some, we'll resume our adventure, till that time, we'll return to our normal routine.  So for today, I've a poem for you.  Guests are the best,  They bring love, They make the house happy,  They make ME happy!  We go out with them,  And we have quite a fun,  We eat together,  Laughing and talking.  I show them my things,  I love guests,  Because Allah and his messenger do,  So that's why I do.  Salam,  Sidra Khan.

In The Ocean: Red Line

Image
Bismillah,  Let's start!  The water became rougher, and the ship dolled violently. Everybody sat in their cabin. But not me. I still went to the railing. I could see the blue ocean, the grey clouds and the white foam. Suddenly a small wave came and showered me with salty water.  The captain told us that we had reached the red line. Today, the weather will stay like this. No worries. But tomorrow the weather will be bad. We'll encounter a sea storm. For sure. Passing the red line will take us three days because the storm will slow the ship.  I went to my cabin and slept. There was nothing else to do or sight because there were rarely any whales in this area. But I still checked Happywhales to track white beak. She was away from the green line. But not in the red line. Maybe she went somewhere for food, but I was looking forward to meeting her again.  When I woke up in the evening. The sunset watching was canceled because of the grey clouds that hid the sun out of view. But stil

In The Ocean: Grey Whales!

Image
Bismillah,  Before we start, I want to tell you about something related to the map.  Do you see that green line? The green line means rough seas, the red line means stormy sea, and the blue line means calm sea, and we have all of them on our map. It'll take 2 days to cross the green line, 3 days for the red line, and one day for the blue line. We have already crossed half of the green line, and tomorrow, in sha Allah. We'll reach the red line So let's start!  I sprang out of bed, it was early and the Sun hadn't risen yet. There were still some passengers on the deck. I woke my Sister Sana. Then we went to the deck. To see the beautiful sunrise that the seas are famous for. Then, after some time, we saw some light for the east, an orange hey, the blue-ness of the sky covering it, after that, the blue disappeared, and the orange covered it. then the sun came out, slowly. As it came out. The clouds above it shown with a different kind of orange light, a colour that one wo

Bismillah...  So, have you read yesterday's post? If yes, then go on and read this post. But if not, then scroll down till the end of the post, the link's there. So let's start!!  Tip: Imagine that that 'I' is you.. The ship went on steadily, disturbing the water behind her. The shore looked like a speck of dust. And I sat at the deck, looking out for any fish, or dolphin. Whale too. I was excited about seeing grey whales, because they only live in the Pacific Ocean, and we're in the Pacific Ocean!  What I first saw was a flying fish show, the flying fish went over the deck and into the ocean again, I took some photos, and some of them are already shown here.  The captain was talking to my sister, and our other team members were just sitting on the deck or were in their cabins, my sister, Sana wanted to know more about the voyage, like how many days it would take to reach there, so the captain showed her a more detailed map, and told her it could 1 week to reach

In The Ocean (Adventure): Setting Out

Image
Bismillah... So, lets go to an adventure! In an ocean, like if you just read this blog, you'll reach there and I'll tell you about everything in detail. Just remember, I made this all up.  The ship we'll take is Arabella. We'll see whale, dolphins in the Pacific Ocean, THEN we'll reach an island called Mystery, for nothing's there other than mystery (I made this up) Our route is this:  I haven't detailed it that much, but I'll tell you when we began.  So, lets go!!  As we climb up the deck, I get a waft of the Arabella's smell, it smelled like seawater and it was gorgeous, after I climbed up, I went straight to the railing of the ship, it was amazing, the blue ocean water sparked like diamonds because of the sunlight. It was double amazing, then there was an ear-Tearing sound and the ship began, smoothly across the sea. So now, I think we can continue tomorrow. I gave you our vogyag's detail today, so that's why we can't do more. But tomo

Book Notes: The Lost Whale

Image
Bismillah... This is the best book I've read in this whole year.  It's a book about a boy named Rio who has been sent to his grandma who lived in California. By chance, it was the migrating season of the whales. And Rio had found his mother's sketchbook. In which she had drawn whales. Including a whale called white beak. He got excited, and wanted to know more about the whale, so he asked his grandma and his whale Wachter Freind named Marina. Who told him that it was the same whale his mother had seen. And marina, her dad knew about white beak! So he went whale watching. There he fell from the boat. And white beak rescued him.  So, the story does goes a long way, but I'm not gonna tell you about all of it!  So the writer's name is Hannah gold, she has also wrote a book named the last bear, I'm planning to buy it next month.  So, I'll like to add that this book is very good for any person who's interested about oceans, whales and plastic pollution in the

Poem: What Do We Do Now?

Bismillah... What do you do now?  When the world's seem to be ending?  Fights going around the globe,  With nobody to stop them, oh oh.  Who can stop them,  Except Allah?  Bombs going all around.  Bharrrraaaaaaaghhhhh!!!!!!  Nobody's listening,  What they want is victory.  World war 1 World war 2 When will world war 3 come?   Isn't this the beginning?  Of the big war's that's coming?  I hope not.  So many fights are going around at once,  So fast that I can't see,  Palestine with Israel.  Ukraine with Russia.  Oh how many wars more? The public dying.  Without any reason,  What's their fault? Tell me,  Now.  Right now!  Tell me.  Salam... Sidra Khan.

Story: The Hunt Of The Wolves

Image
Bismillah  "Hey! Go, go, from here, no, yes, good, run behind! " the Alpha said to wolves that were hunting a herd of deer. He had just won the alpha fight yesterday, and with, that he had also won a female, who was his wife now.  Her name was Yara.  And the new alpha's name was Rio.  "Hmmm, they are hunting greatly while you're giving orders on what to do from the face of this cliff, alphas are meant to give orders, I'm going to hunt too," Yara said to Rio who had said she's an alpha and meant to give orders, but Yara had said she could lead them and hunt at the same time.  "Oh! Ok then, you go" Rio said.  With one quick glance at Rio, Yara went down the cliff and joined the hunting group.  Yara ran sideways to the deer's side, all the wolves had caught up with the deer, what they were waiting for was Rio's order to attack. But when Yara looked up, what she saw didn't seem good. Rio was growling at the pack of wild dogs, he cou

Nature23: Black Cats

Image
Bismillah,  Hi friends, today I'll be telling you about black cats. Is it true that they bring bad luck? Will you be a misfortune if one crosses your path?  A  black cat  is a domestic cat  with black fur that may be a specific breed  or a common domestic cat of no particular or mixed breed. All-black fur pigmentation is slightly more prevalent in male cats than female cats . Black cats are the subject of myth, legend, and superstition. They are often associated with witches  and bad luck in many parts of the world. Bad luck! Bad luck doesn't come from black cats, it's your destiny! Not "because of that black cat, this happened  " no! It's not because of that black cat, it's your destiny, Allah had written that this thing would happen, so there's no fault of black cats. In other words, black cats mean no harm and they are sweet, or maybe sweeter/than other cats.  Some people say, if one crosses your path, it will be bad luck, but no! That is NOT true,

Poem: Oh! The World Of Animals!

Image
Bismillah.... Oh! In the world of animals,  Is so amazing!  From big big elephants,  To small small rabbits,  From long long giraffe,  To short short rats,  From colourful pink river dolphins,  To dull-coloured monkeys.  From dangerous loins, To harmless deer.  The world of animals,  Give us lessons.  The wolves tell us,  Don't be selfish,  Take care of others.  Unity is important.  While loins tell us to be brave,  panthers tell us to use our abilities,  Monkeys tell us to be smart,  And dolphins tell us to be happy.  So when the world of animals do these things,  We can do them too.  Salam.... See you tomorrow, in sha Allah.  Sidra

Amazon 42: An Introduction Of The Amazon

Image
Bismillah,  Everybody deserves to know about such a place, it's not just a place, it's like magic, nature and science mixed up together, that's how the Amazonia seems to me. Wild, green and as alive as possible.  So, the thing is today I'll be giving you an introduction to this place, and in the coming days. I'll give you details on different things that are found in the Amazon.  The Amazonia is beautiful, more beautiful than anything, well it is, for me. It's home to jaguars, sloths, birds, insects, panthers, snakes, harpy eagles, poison dart frogs and so much more! The Amazon is home to 40,000 plant species, 3,000 freshwater fish species, more than 370 types of reptiles and more than 3,000 species of birds. These are the things I'd be explaining in detail, later in my other posts.  The Amazon jungle has the world's second-largest river, the Amazon River, it has lots of things too like pink river dolphins, beavers, piranhas, caimans, electric eels and
