Story: The Blue Jay

 Bismillah,

Once upon a time, a happy and loving family lived in a small house. They lived in rent. The house was just perfect, it had three rooms, three toilets, a hall and a kitchen. One of those rooms belonged to Rosa, the only daughter and child of the family. They loved her dearly.

Rosa's room had a balcony, in which she had hung green bird-feeders. The homeowner didn't allow any pets, but they were allowed to hang bird feeders. Rosa's room had a study table, a bookshelf, a bed, and a small table in which she kept her bed lamp, her socks and her glasses before going to sleep.

To eat from Rosa's bird feeders, a blue jay visited Rosa regularly, every day Rosa would wake up to the sound of the blue jay.

She wrote about the blue jay in her dairy;

The little cute pretty blue jay I meet every day is very nice to me. he eats from my hands and wakes me up daily, he is friendly to my Freind squirrel. My friend Squirrel is also very nice, she also eats from my hands but likes peanuts very much.

I can easily know the gender of the blue jay because of colour, male jays are pretty and blue, while females are brown and dull.

I have named my Jay "Blu"

Once Blu had met me with his female Freind... She sometimes comes to my bird feeders but is quite cautious of me, so she doesn't eat from my hand.

The Squirrel comes to meet me sometimes, but I still named her Maria, I wish I could keep her.

Maria is a female squirrel.

But if I keep her then the landlady who visits our house every day will see her.

I wish she said you can keep pets.

It was the next morning, and instead of waking up to the sound of her alarm clock, she woke up to the shrill voice of Blu... But it seemed that he had brought his friends and Maria had come too. She said to herself

"Damnit! Today the landlady will visit so I will have to clean my room and things, I'll also have to clean the scattered seeds... So we won't be able to play much."

Rosa quickly put on her socks and slipped her feet into her slippers, then opened the curtains and sunshine poured into her green walls...

She opened the door and smiled at her friends.

"Oh, hi Blu, Hi Maria. And hi ya... Blu's friends" She felt strange looking at them all together as they had never come together like this... And Blu's friend whom she had named Choco (it was a female Jay) was now on her bird feeder. Eating food. She went back into her room for peanuts with Blu and Choco following her. She said

"what's up? Why...! " Blu urgently flapped his wings and led her to a post which she had made for birds so they could build their nests. Blu stood on the post with Choco taking a twig in her beak... Sho how understood!  Blue and Choco had become a pair and now were going to build a nest in the post! She was so excited. She said

"Now nesting is going to be easier for you as I'll protect your nest from any harm, and I'm going to give you lots of twigs so you can build a nest easily, and lots of food... You won't have to work hard!" she was babbling. She then went to her room and started her work.

She sweeper the scattered seeds, and refilled the bird feeders with seeds. She preened her plants and told them about Blu and Maria... The plants seemed excited too as their leaves moved. Her rose plant had a new red rose blooming on it! She cleaned the birdbath and refilled it with water. Choco and Blu then started eating. Maria followed Rosa around. Rosa put her hands in her pockets and took out some peanuts for Maria, choco saw Rosa giving peanuts to Maria and flew to her... Rosa said

"oh... Choco, you are intelligent... Oh yes, blue jays are quite intelligent. Here, one for you and one for Blu"

Choco took both of them and shared them with Blu...

The end

It's not the story's end, in my next post I'll share the next part
