Poem:

Image
Bismillah,  Hi there! How are you all?  Today, I have to write a poem based on this image.  Actually, writing this poem based on this picture is my homework.  So, I'll try my best!  Firstly, I'll have to see the things that are in this image.  • cows grazing • people sitting on a rocky place • tall trees • grassy shrubs • rocky landscape So, now I'll have to choose two points to write my poem on...  • cows grazing✔️ • people sitting on a rocky place✔️ • tall trees✔️ • grassy shrubs✔️ • rocky landscape✔️ I like all these topics.  So let's start!  Grassy shrubs are so green,  The tall trees are also green,  The rocky landscape is too pretty.  On it the moving cows graze!  And the people sit!  I like the poem.  Do you?  And what could I name this poem? Do you have any suggestions?  If there's any thing that could be added in this poem, you can tell me in the chat box.  Feedback would be very appreciated.  Salam,  Sidra khan

The Story Of My Cat

Image
Bismillah,  Arbella Was a cat.  Now, friends, you have to keep in mind while reading this post that this cat was a stray cat, and it had chosen us by choice.  Arabella was a tom cat, meaning it was a male cat. He was beautiful because he had light orangish-brown fur with orange stripes. I don't remember the description well because it was a long time ago My first encounter with him was in the evening, it was going to be night soon, but I don't remember what I was doing at that time well. Maybe I was playing when we heard a cat's sound. When I looked into the balcony's door, we found Arabella. At that time, my mom and me and my siblings really liked Arbella. And maybe or not, we gave Arbella some milk. We tried to coax him into our home, but he didn't came and went away, just for the evening.  The next day, he came again and we gave him milk, in and big orange bowl. He would slurp up the milk quickly with his tongue, and if there were any droplets of milk there and

Poem: Trees

Bismillah,  Today, I thought about writing a poem about trees, as I have never written poem about trees. Please share your thoughts in the chat box, if you do, I'll be extremely grateful.  Let's start!  Oh! The beautiful,  Oh! The lovely!  Trees!  Home to many creatures,  And birds,  Are the trees!  They keep the soil,  From sliding out,  And creating a landslide,  With their strong roots!  They give us fresh oxygen to breathe,  They breath in carbon,  And breath out oxygen,  That we breath in!  They give us fruits & Vegetables to eat,  And medicines,  So we can heal!  Without trees,  The life will be scarce,  Because! (and most of all!).  They make the landscape green and clean!  Thanks for your time,  Salam,  Sidra khan

Dangourous, but beautiful

Bismillah,  What things are dangerous, but beautiful? There must be so many things going on in your head right now! Yes, there are many such things such as:  1. Cheetah They look too cute, but their cuteness will finish if you try to hug them.  2. Wolves They might not look beautiful to many people, but for me, they're dangerous but beautiful. But friends, they don't attack people more than dogs attack people. (there are more dog cases than wolf cases) but it's better not to go too close to them if meet in the wild.  3. Pandas They seem adorable! But I don't think they'll be adorable if you go close to them...  4. Platypus They are cute, but not harmless.  5. Koalas They only attack when provoked 6. Mute swans Male mute swans are highly protective of their territory and mate, so maintain your distance.  7. Hooded pithui They are the only birds that are toxic.  They're beautiful but dangerous.  8. Red foxes Cute, but dangerous    Many other things are beautiful

Thoughts: nature

Image
Bismillah,  Y ou know, nature had been here before humans were there. Nature is stronger than human beings. Yup! Although nature is made to serve us, humans. It's still a lot more powerful than us. Take for example, that if a hunter goes in the woods to hunt wolves, and the hunter actually gets surrounded by a pack of wolves, no matter how much he tries to shoot. Hunter gets hunted.  Nature, I think is very beautiful. Prettier than the man-made things. Like, we think nature is foolish. But when it does something that's probably smart, we say "Wow, it's so smart! " yes, maybe we humans are intelligent, but don't forget, this world doesn't entirely belong to us, it belongs to Allah. And the other creatures that live with us, one of them is, again-nature .  Nature isn't anything special. It can be a tree, a bird, an insect, or anything that's not made by humans. Nature is beautiful, just like I mentioned earlier. Now, try to make a fly, just like All

Poem: Happiness

Bismillah,  Happiness is like a flower,  A pink one blossoming on hand.  Happiness is like rain,  Tap-tap on the land.  Happiness is like a nightingale,  Her burst of song echoed through the corridors.  H appiness is like a library,  Filled with thousands of books. Happiness is in things,  Which you love the most!  Sidra khan

Story: The bird and the girl

Bismillah, Yara was sitting on her balcony, with Montaha, her pet tame bird. They both had a strong bond, an unbreakable bond, a bond which nobody could break. They never got bored with each other, they slept together, and they ate together . Whenever Yara went somewhere, Monthaha was with her.  Right now, they were watching the beautiful sunset. They were on a vacation on one of the Hawaiian islands. And as usual, Montaha was with her, Yara said to Montaha "This place is beautiful, when I shall grow up, I shall live here, with you" Montaha chirped.  Montaha was a yellow cockatiel, she had a beautiful long crest and a pink beak, but the beak was never used to hurt Yara, with pink feet, orange cheeks, and a majestic body. She liked perching on Yara's shoulder, sometimes, she used to cling to Yara's clothes or sit on Yara's finger as a perch. Sometimes, she used to take a flight, but she used to come back.  Yara was proud of her bird, her friends used to like Monta

Good writing and reading tips

Bismillah,  Today, I'll give you some tips for reading fast. Like me, I can read a big fat book in one day. Of course, Allah gave me this ability. But, we still have to improve.  But, I love to read books These are the tips:  • First, take an interesting good book to start your reading.  • then find a quiet and comfortable place.  • you should be free for 15, 30 or 1 hour (this depends on your reading time) • then read the way you do, there are three types of reading styles:       • verbal reading (you read loudly in this type) but this type makes slow progress      • you read in your heart, but your lips still move. It's a bit faster than verbal reading      • visualisation (you read with your eyes, your lips don't move, only your eyes) This is the fastest type,            And this is my reading style.  Remember! You'll first be a slow reader, but, if you practice reading. Your reading will become fast.  • set goals, for example, "I have to complete this book thi

Poem: If I Was An Eagle

Image
Bismillah,  If I was an eagle,  For only one day.  I'd soar up high,  In the beautiful sky.  I'd meet the other eagles,  Then ask them how to prey.  Then when they'd tell me.  I'd swoop down for my prey.  I'd catch a rat,  For my catch.  I'd take it to a high tree.  And tear it apart.  The Eagle Life,  Might be fun.  But i'd just like to be an eagle,  For only one day.  Salam,  Sidra khan

A tame parrot

Image
Bismillah,  Now, ma sha Allah. My female parrot Montaha (or, her other name is Tweety) is tame. Now, you might ask. What is tame? OK, let me tell you.  Tame is usually used for animals and birds that will not harm people and are not afraid of people too.  Like, for example, a pet lion. But the word "tame" isn't only used for wild animals that are domesticated. It can also be used for pet animals and birds becoming more friendly towards its owner. And that's the same thing with Montaha.  1. She likes to cling on my clothes.  2. She likes to sit on my shoulder, then attack my glasses, or earings (ow! )  3. She also likes to bite any shiny thing, like addornings and pearls found on clothes.  4. I sometimes, hold her. And put her on my finger, she stays there, if she's not in an excited mood.  5. Her voice is very cute, when I take her out from her cage. She tries to grab the bar of the cage. I think she says at that time "LEAVE ME ALONEEE!!! YOU" 6. When I

Poem: mountains

Image
Bismillah,  Big and tall!  Grey and black,  Are the mountains,  Of the World!  Small and short,  Green and brown,  Are the hills,  Of the earth!  Big and small,  Tall and short,  Brown and black,  Grey and green.  Are the mountains,  And the hills,  Filled with beauty and sunshine,  Of the World!  So friends, as you might have visited lots of mountains and hills. You might have seen the beauty of them. How the sunlight and wind seemed different there, how it had greenery and nature. And in the night, how the sky was full of glistening, twinkling, sparkling stars. Everything was beautiful in the mountains and hills!  These pictures are real, and these mountains exist.  Tell me in the chat box about the mounts you've visited.  Salam,  Sidra khan

Platypus

Image
Bismillah,  Today, I'll tell you about the world's strangest animal, platypus  It has a feet and a beak of a duck, and the body and the tail of an otter. Males have a pair of stingers, just on their hind legs. Females lay eggs but feed their young milk.....  These are in the kingdom of animals, although I'm not sure because animals don't lay eggs.  They are aquatic animals, and one of the most weirdest animals.  There is much MORE about these, but this is enough for today.   '. https://www.google.com/search?q=Platypus&hl=en-IN&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAFPi0M_VNzCtqEx6xGjMLfDyxz1hKa1Ja05eY1Th4grOyC93zSvJLKkUEuNig7J4pLi44Jp4FrFyBOQkllQWlBYDAAca5tJLAAAA This link is good, you'll get to see a platypus more closely.  This is the platypus stinger. Very painful and venomous, but it's not deadly, and can be treated.  Salam,  Sidra khan

The colours of the ocean (3)

Today, I'll be sharing a poem with you.  Blue green, pink and yellow!  Are the colours of the ocean.  Beautiful fish swim past,  All in the beautiful ocean!  And the calm whales,  Are looking for food.  In the big ocean!  And the sea turtles, chase a jellyfish!  In the terrific ocean.  A shark opens it mouth, to feed.  In the dangerous open!  So, this is the...  Beautiful,  Big,  Terrific,  Dangerous,  OCEAN!

The colours of the ocean

Image
Bismillah... As I explained yesterday, the ocean is dangerous. Today, I'll tell you about corals, which might be dangerous or harmless. Usually, corals are beautiful and are not harmless.  But believe it or not, corals are the things which colour the ocean. They're found in reefs, and give shelter to the fish from predators. But there's an interesting fact, as many of us might think that corals are plants. They are not plants .  Touching corals isn't good at all. Corals are fragile animals and will break or even die under your touch. And, you'll also develop rashes and feel bad and might have to go to a doctor. So it's best to not touch them, kick them, or stand on them. Maintain your distance and then appreciate the beauty.  There are many, many types of corals of varied colours, pink, tan, green, blue and many more colours. Corals are very important for the oceans and our ecosystem, without them, the life would be dire. And of course!  They colour the oceans!

The colours of the ocean

Image
Bismillah,  The ocean world is a unique place. It's like totally different from this world!  Beautiful corals, colourful fish and blue water surround you as you swim in it!  The Pacific Ocean I think is the most incredible.  But , my friends, beware of the dangers that surround you every second when you're in the ocean. For, the ocean is dangerous as it's beautiful. Tiger sharks, the great white sharks, squids, poisonous fish, and jellyfish. And the danger of divers getting lost in the beauty and the danger of the ocean. Never to come back again... The ocean is home to many beautiful creatures. Yet poisonous and dangerous. Like the blue angel, also known as the sea swallow. It's beautiful. And is blue, and it's known to kill and eat other poisonous creatures. Do not go near a blue angel if you see one, just appreciate its beauty from far away.  Blue angel  There are many other creatures which I'll explain in detail in sha ALLAH.  Salam.. Sidra Khan

Poem: Peacock

Image
Peacocks are beautiful creatures made by Allah. Beautiful green and blue peacocks are the most common.  But there are green peacocks and white peacocks. Which are technically my favourite.  Female peacocks are called peahens and they're not as beautiful as the male peacock, they're dull in colour.  Do you know why peacocks are prettier than the peahen? That's because all the male birds have to impress their females. So all the male birds are usually prettier than the female birds.  Yesterday, I was preparing a beautiful rhyming poem, although it's small. But I think it's worth a read.  Peacocks with feathers long and bright,  For the peacock to take a flight.  Brilliant blue and gorgeous green,  Made for the peacocks to dance like a queen. -Sidra khan This is the peacock I wrote the poem on......  If you like the poem. Then comment in the comment box.  Salam, Sidra khan

Make room for elephents by Ruskin Bond

Bismillah,  As I scrolled through the pages of a storybook by Ruskin Bond, I came across lots of animal stories, Tiger King, leopards, panthers, cassowaries and elephants.  I came across lots of poems too.  My favourite poem is: Make Room for Elephants.  My favourite story is Tiger Tiger, Burning Bright!  The story is quite long (11 pages long) but it has a happy ending. I'm thinking of posting one or two pages of it here daily, you'll like that, right?  But right now, I'm sharing my favourite poem.  I know the world's a crowded place,  And elephants do take up space,  But if it makes a difference, Lord,  I'll gladly share my room and  board.  A baby elephant would do........  But, if he brings his mother too,  There's Dad's garage. he wouldn't mind.  To elephants he's more than kind.  But I wonder what our mum would say If the elephant's father came to stay!  So, I hope you like it, tomorrow, I'll share some stories.  Have a good day!  Sala

Pet Ants

Image
Bismillah,  Did you open the link I gave you in yesterday's blog? If you did. Then that's great. If you didn't, then that's ok.  Today, I'll tell you about pet ants.  I think all of you had ant bites. Or seen lots of ants in your home? In summer When you leave something sweet, the ants come and eat it all. And at last, tired of the game. You set some poison for the ants to eat. And then they die.  But now, imagine bringing ants into your home.  Yes, people bring them as pets! Millions of people bring to keep them as pets.  They feed them, they take care of them, they spend money on them (woah!) I don't know much about this, so it's bye for today!  Salam....  Sidra khan

Why Muslims Can't Keep Dogs As Pets

Image
Bismillah,  Many Muslims might like dogs, but as many of us know. Dogs are NOT allowed as pets.  And, today, I'll give you the disadvantages of Islamic and scientific of keeping dogs as pets.  1. Angels don't like dogs, so when a dog is in somebody's home. They go away, and jinns come. (and that's not good at all) 2. Dogs might be trustworthy, but, if you don't have time to train them properly, then they might bite, or scratch. And the scar COULD last lifelong.  3. Dogs carry insects which could be fatal for US.  4. Dogs bark a lot.  5. You might need to go to get every month for a vaccine. And your dog could get sick.  4. Even well-trained dogs can sometimes pee or poo in your home. Not in their litter tray.  5. Dogs need walks a dozen times a day. Do you have time for that?  But you can keep dogs as guards, only if you need them.  I can give you some alternatives for dogs:  1. Cats They make great companions, they don't need walks. Only a few toys to play wit
