Bird62: Birds

 Bismillah....

Birds are everywhere,  from freezing landscapes like Antarctica to the hottest deserts like Sahara or the other.  But birds are usually found in suitable places. That is not too hot or not too cold. Birds are the most important things. 

"If you take care of the birds, then you're taking care of the environment"

 First  I'll give you a small list of birds I know about, and then I'll tell you what they do. Then I'll give you some facts etc... (In sha Allah)

List of common birds.

3. Humming bee birds

4. Mynahs

5. Cockatails 

6. African grey parrot

7. Bugdeis 

8. Blue Jays

9. Indian parrot

10. Steller's jay

18. Flamingos

Ah, the list could go on forever, Now, let me tell you about their benefits. 

They help grow trees. 

How? Let me tell you. 

Step one: The bird eats some sort of fruit, birds don't chew, they swallow. 

Step two: So the seed of the fruit is unharmed because the bird has swallowed the fruit. 

Step three: So the seed gets out in the bird's dropping and it can grow.

Birds control pests that harm the crops by eating them. 

Birds Indicate Environmental Hazards (Like giving some sort of warning call to tell earthquakes this way).

Birds Feed us, how? Like a hen gives us eggs, or they help grow plants or control pests that eat our crops.

Birds Are Military Heroes –

Birds have special skills that have made them historically useful to militaries. During World War I, pheasants detected oncoming hostile aircraft at long distances. Canaries sensed poison gas. Gulls followed submarines in search of garbage. Carrier pigeons successfully navigated through shellfire and past bullets aimed at them, transporting messages that helped the Allies capture German submarines, and that saved the crews of downed seaplanes and a sunken minesweeper. Birds aren’t just useful, they’re bona fide heroes.

There are many many more benefits of birds. 

Ok now friends, because you know their benefits, I'll tell you about what's putting them in danger. 

1. Cutting trees-

As birds live on trees, when trees are cut, their homes lessen putting them in danger. 

2. Too many mobile towers-

These days, birds are dying because of the radiation that mobile towers give. I'm not saying that you should finish these towers, these towers should be under limit. 

Number of birds killed in the world per year: 60 to 40 million

We have to do something. 

3. Pesticides in crops-

When there are no insects in crops, what will birds eat? 

4. Unlimited hunting-

Birds are hunted for their feathers and their meat. 

Many birds are extinct because of unlimited hunting. 

There are many more but these are the main ones. 

How to take care of birds: 

1. Don't throw leftover rice or bread or roti. Keep it on your terrace or a park or garden. 

2. Provide water (keep it on your terrace please)

3. You can plant more trees. 

These are the easy ones, you should try these, and birds will constantly come. If possible,  you can make some sort of shelter for them. 

Facts about birds: 

1. Not all birds can fly. 

2. Birds don't chew, they swallow. 

3. Bird's bones are shallow ( these bones don't have anything inside them) which helps them fly. 

4. A bat is not a bird, it's a flying mammal (it doesn't lay eggs).
